Ben was born and raised in Rockhampton, having completed his schooling at the Cathedral College in 2004.
Ben joined the firm in 2010 and obtained the Bachelor of Laws in 2012 from James Cook University. In 2013, Ben completed a traineeship with the firm and was admitted as a solicitor in June, 2013.

Ben is a solicitor of the High Court of Australia and the Supreme Court of Queensland. He is a member of the Queensland Law Society and the Central Queensland Law Association.
Outside the law Ben has interests in camping, 4WD, travel and sports including cricket and rugby league.
