Clare is part of our Rockhampton family law team having joined the firm in 2014. Clare became a partner of the firm in July 2016.
Clare has a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Queensland, St Lucia and was admitted as a Legal Practitioner in the Supreme Court of Queensland in 2007 and to the High Court of Australia in 2008.
In addition to being an Accredited Family Law Specialist by the Queensland Law Society, Clare also holds a certificate in mediation from Bond University which has assisted her in developing a conciliatory style of practice from which her clients benefit.
Clare has practice exclusively in Family and De facto Relationship since her admission to the legal profession, with experience in property and child related matters; both in negotiating agreements without Court intervention and when litigation does arise, drafting court documents and appearing in the Family and Federal Circuit Courts.
Prior to working for South Geldard Lawyers, Clare practised at a boutique family law firm in Brisbane. She assists clients in the following areas:

- Parenting arrangements;

- Spouse maintenance;
- Financial agreements;
- Personal Protection issues involving domestic violence; and
- Surrogacy agreements
Clare has presented many seminars on Family Law issues to a range of professional and corporate groups and has also been contacted by national media publications for comment in relation to Family Law issues. She is a member of the Queensland Law Society, the Family Law Practitioners Association of Queensland and the Central Queensland Law Association Inc.
When not at work Clare enjoys being active and playing various sports, spending time with family and friends and watching live music.
